PERCEPTION
Perception is a short, narrative-based, wordless and metaphorical animation about helping ourselves to fight-on when we encounter difficulties in life to progress for the better. I include a reference to Javanese Indonesian local wisdom, embodied in the four identical characters to the main character. I utilised the elements of the story such as the dim environment and limited sight to conceal the full form of the identicals into pairs of hands coming out from the dark, evoking a mysterious, harmful perception towards them as they force the main character to move from the place. This scenario is intended to show how we often think of unpleasant situations as misfortunes when we have not fully grasped and seen the meaning of such situations. Sometimes we are not willing to see past our own perceptions and emotions and we need some push to do so.
